NaNoWrimo

HEY EVERYONE. I know it's the end of summer and all that, and I am going to re naming this blog soon as avintagewinter2011.blogspot.com, what do you think? There's no point in starting a new one because then I would loose my awesome followers. All 3 of them. ;)

Anyway, I am writing this blog post for a VERY special reason, I have probably mentioned Kristina Horner before on here, if I haven't, she is a vlogger on Youtube who I LOVE. www.youtube.com/user/italktosnakes and she told her views, including me, about this thing called NaNoWrimo. It's basically National Writing Month in November, and you have to WRITE A WHOLE BOOK IN A MONTH. Which is insane. I have never tried it myself before, but this year I'm giving it a go. Kristina says its stressful and so does Luke Conard, another youtube person. But you get a brilliant book out of it at the end. NaNoWrimo set a target every year and this year it is 50,000 words. So if you get to that much or more, then you win. But if you DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT, then 30,000 or even 10,000 would do, as long as you tried. It's better than not bothering at all. I have homework and GCSE stuff to do as well so I probably won't get up to that. But if you DO want to write 50,000 words then you have to make time for writing, as you will need to do quite a few words in a day. I'm going to try to aim for 50,000 but my parent's say school work comes first, and of course it does. NaNoWrimo is not an excuse not to do homework, even though that sounds very appealing.

Summer Update: Films, Summer, Boys, Harry Potter...

Well hello. I have not written on here in a long while. I am sorry. I have been sunbathing in America. Which is nice enough. But I'm pleased to be home. California was awesome, I saw Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, the whole lot. To top that off I also went to BUFFALO. And Toronto in Canada. Yes, I am a very busy girl.

So my shopping in America was good. Well, in Canada I bought some skinny jeans from Hollister, half price, about $35 I think. Amazing price. And then in America I did a whole shopping spree in Forever21, which is a clothing store. I bought loads of cute dresses. Then I got some nailpolish from OPI. Which is the BEST brand for nailpolish. I got a sparkly blue colour. I think thats it.

I am also extremely busy this week, I am starting my Little Shop of Horrors workshop. Which I am Ronnette 3 in. This will be fun, and hopefully there will be some cute guys there too. I will update you guys on that front when I come to it.

FILMS. Films have been my life this summer, I have seen HARRY POTTER. Which was AMAZINGFABULOUSFANTASTICLOVELYGREATEMMENCE. I liked it. Basically. And then I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Which wasn't that great, but Tom Felton was in it (Draco Malfoy) and I LOVE HIM. And then today, I went to the cinema with my cousin and we saw Super 8, which I highly recommend, it was sooo scary but amazing too. We were going to see The Inbetweeners Movie but unfortunately that wasn't possible. I had a movie marathon yesterday too, and I watched Pretty Little Devils, which is weird and freaky. So I don't recommend that one too much. Also, Horrid Henry is out, this might be sad, but I want to go and see it just because it was the first book that I read purely on my own.

ALSO I have a new Twitter account specially for Harry Potter, it is called: italktohedwig and I also have a youtube account now called the same thing. Follow me and subscribe on both pleeease.

And on other news. I have recently been very obsessed with a certain girl called Kristina Horner and her friend Luke Conard. From Youtube. They do wizard rock (Harry Potter themed songs) but make it sound amazing! Also, I fancy the guy from Super 8. His name is Joel Courtney. He's fit. So's Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson. I'm a bit boy obsessed at the moment. Sorry. Okay, I'm going to shut up now and I'll see you soon. If you want to come back that is.

Long Time No See, Cornbury, California and Schools Out!

OMG HEY GUYS! I've got so much to tell you! So the last blog post I did was just before I went to Cornbury. And OMG it was amazing. I saw Sophie Ellis Bextor right up close, and there was these two really unknown people that I liked to. A band called the Epstein and a lady called Miriam Jones from Canada. It was soooo good. I can hopefully camp out next year with my mates. I'm sorry I have not done a post in ages, I've been so busy on trips and stuff. This week was the last week at school and today I am supposed to be at school but I don't feel well so I am having to stay home. But in 2 hours time. I AM OFFICIALLY ON SUMMER BREAK. And in 3 days I am off to CALIFORNIA. Sorry for the capitals. I am VERY unlikely to post a blog post while I am away so if I don't type one for a while that is the reason. My cousins are here and they are staying the whole summer too so it's gonna be awesome.

Festival Fever, America and 13

Hey everyone, I haven't done a post in a while. Well, I might have, but just not posted it. I am watching the tennis at Wimbledon at the moment. It's Murray v. Nadal. Murray is loosing. As expected. CORNBURY IS TOMORROW! I am seeing Sophie Ellis Bextor and The Faces and more! It will be sooo good. My first music festival. It will be fab, I'm going to wear something very festivaly. I'm not sure what yet though. And plus, I AM GOING TO CALIFORNIA IN 3 WEEKS. I. Can. Not. Wait. It will be amaaaaazing. Looking forward to LA and San Francisco the best I think.

Tallness, Tour Cancellations and Cornbury

Hey all, sorry I have not done an update in a few days. Quite a lot of stuff has been happening. So, I did a SOLO performance yesterday at my school's vocal showcase, I sung Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid, it went really well! But on Tuesday, my dad and I set off to London to meet my Mum because we were going to see Paul Simon in concert, we got to the venue and everything, and then got to the door where it said, "Sorry, tonights performance has been cancelled because Paul has a sore throat." they hadn't CONTACTED us or anything! Which was just rude! It was re-scheduled to the next night so I couldn't go because of the vocal showcase. Luckily Mum fixed things and we are getting our money back for the tickets and we're going TONIGHT instead, to Birmingham's LG Arena, where I saw Justin Bieber in March! On another subject, I am quite tall for a 14 year old girl, I'm 5'8 I think. I was looking around on the internet and I decided to type into Google how tall Taylor Swift was, it said roughly about 5'11. She is my role model and she is tall so I now feel much more confident with my height. Being tall isn't too bad, and for all I know I might have stopped growing. Another thing I'm REALLY looking forward to is the Cornbury festival this weekend. I'm going completely vintage for the festival and going all out on florals and gypsy dresses etc... Anyway, I have to get ready for the concert. OMG I JUST WON TICKETS TO SEE GLEE TONIGHT! But I can't go. My stupid Mum and Dad

Glastonbury, Festival Fever, and Lace

Hey everyone, I hope you looked at ASOS.com, if you haven't read that post, go and read it please. So, as you probably know, the infamous Glastonbury festival 2011 is taking place RIGHT NOW! I so wish I was there, maybe some of you are and you are reading this on your 3G? Comment if you are. Anyway, I wish I was there so badly, a couple of girls went from my school. BUT you can book up for 2013! There isn't one in 2012, I don't know why, go to www.glastonburyfestivals.com and you have to register before you can buy tickets! I urge you to register if you live in England! I have never been before but a third of my family go every year! Also, the fashion at the moment is very festival chic, I love festival clothes and I can't wait to wear a summery outfit for Cornbury next weekend. www.newlook.com have cool clothes for festivals and so do www.topshop.com and www.asos.com so go and have a look! Lace is on trend at the moment and its all about lace maxi dresses and lace tops etc... I love lace so it's great for me. My town Charter Fair is today so I better go, and I don't feel all that well either. Fun.
